Cindy Housner

Founder & Senior Program Officer

Cindy has spent her career expanding sports opportunities for individuals with physical or visual disabilities. She has coached internationally, and is an active speaker for inclusion in school athletics. Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive PE and a master’s degree in Exceptional Education.

Beth DeRosier

Executive Director

Beth joins GLASA as Executive Director with 30 years of experience in retail and healthcare operations, Beth brings a wealth of business knowledge and a deep commitment to GLASA’s mission of changing athletes’ lives on and off the court. Beth’s extensive involvement with GLASA included roles as President, Vice President, and Secretary of the GLASA Board of Directors.

Kelly Candotti Habas

Development Director

Kelly joined GLASA as Development Director with 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising and event leadership experience. Kelly held several roles in sports marketing with the Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks and Admirals before moving to nonprofit. Kelly cultivates relationships with corporations, sponsors and donors while overseeing fundraising events including the GLASA Gala, Marathon Team and the Young Professionals Board.

Shannon Hellen

Office Manager and Assistant to the Executive Director

Shannon has been with GLASA since 2015. Prior to joining GLASA, she worked as a Recruiting Manager for a large nonprofit. Shannon holds a BS in International Marketing with a minor in Japanese language from the University of Alabama.

Christine Kizawa

Grants Director

Christine joined GLASA to oversee the organization’s grant program and holds a BA in English and American Literature as well as a JD from Northwestern University. Christine spends her time away from work taking long walks with her husband, baking and learning new recipes with her two boys and cheering for the English Premier League.

Jess Liban

Program Operations Manager

Jess joined GLASA as the Program Operations Manager after 5 years of teaching high school Health and P.E. She has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Health, P.E., & Recreation. While away from work, Jess coaches high school basketball and enjoys playing and watching sports, hiking, kayaking, and doing puzzles.

Dawn Mazarakis

Volunteer Coordinator

Dawn joins us as our part-time Volunteer Coordinator. Dawn comes with a wealth of experience within the non-profit world. She will build and optimize the volunteer experience. In her spare time, Dawn stays active with her three children while training and coaching competitive boxing.

Liz Mixon

Marketing Manager

Liz joined the GLASA team after serving as a special projects volunteer for two years while abroad. In Liz’s role as the Marketing Manager, she oversees GLASA’s
marketing and public relations. She shares GLASA’s mission and impact with our community.

Rachel Pettineo

Accountant

Rachel is a the Accountant at GLASA. She enjoys baking and watching her sons play sports.

Hannah Rosuck

Competitions and Events Coordinator

Hannah joins the team as the Competition and Events Coordinator at GLASA after graduation from the University of Iowa. Hannah has been a longtime volunteer at GLASA assisting with the Sled Hockey Program as well as serving as an events intern before becoming part of the staff. 

Mac Stevenson

Senior Program Manager

Mac is the Senior Program Manager at GLASA and joined after teaching high school English and coaching college football and high school softball for the past 8 years. He played football at Saint Xavier University and won a national championship in 2011. He shares GLASA’s mission in making sure all athletes get a chance to perform at their highest potential.

Carolyn Williams

Program Manager

Carolyn is a program manager at GLASA and has a background in youth ice hockey and mental performance training for athletes. She has a master’s degree in sport and performance psychology and cares significantly about supporting athletes in both the physical and mental aspects of their sports journey.

Flo Cheek

Program Assistant

Flo was GLASA’s first volunteer starting in 1996! Today Flo works on various projects as needed, especially during GLASA’s key special events. Flo also volunteers for other nonprofit organizations including Meals on Wheels.
