Cindy Housner
Executive Director and Founder
Cindy has spent her career expanding sports opportunities for individuals with physical or visual disabilities. She has coached internationally, and is an active speaker for inclusion in school athletics. Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive PE and a master’s degree in Exceptional Education.

Kelly Candotti Habas
Development Director
Kelly joined GLASA as Development Director with 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising and event leadership experience. Kelly held several roles in sports marketing with the Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks and Admirals before moving to nonprofit. Kelly cultivates relationships with corporations, sponsors and donors while overseeing fundraising events including the GLASA Gala, Marathon Team and the Young Professionals Board.

Shannon Hellen
Office Manager and Assistant to the Executive Director
Shannon has been with GLASA since 2015. Prior to joining GLASA, she worked as a Recruiting Manager for a large nonprofit. Shannon holds a BS in International Marketing with a minor in Japanese language from the University of Alabama.

Christine Kizawa
Grants Director
Christine joined GLASA to oversee the organization’s grant program and holds a BA in English and American Literature as well as a JD from Northwestern University. Christine spends her time away from work taking long walks with her husband, baking and learning new recipes with her two boys and cheering for the English Premier League.

Liz Mixon
Marketing Manager
Liz joined the GLASA team after serving as a special projects volunteer for two years while abroad. In Liz’s role as the Marketing Manager, she oversees GLASA’s marketing and public relations. She shares GLASA’s mission and impact with our community.

Mak Nong
Program Manager
Mak Nong is a GLASA Program Manager. Mak graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in recreation, sport, and tourism. He was captain of the men’s wheelchair team in college and moved on to play professional wheelchair basketball in Europe, winning an IWBF championship. Mak represented Team USA in amputee soccer at the 2018 World Cup and the President’s cup in 2019 where USA won. Mak is a member of the GLASA Bears Wheelchair Football team where he was selected to the all-pro team in 2022.

Aileen Pecora
Accountant
After a brief stint of retirement, Aileen joined GLASA in November 2018. Aileen holds a BA in Business from Michigan State University and an MBA from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Mac Stevenson
Program Manager
Mac is a Program Manager at GLASA after teaching high school English and coaching college football and high school softball for the past 8 years. He played football at Saint Xavier University and won a national championship in 2011. He shares GLASA’s mission in making sure all athletes get a chance to perform at their highest potential.

Flo Cheek
Program Assistant
Flo was GLASA’s first volunteer starting in 1996! Today Flo works on various projects as needed, especially during GLASA’s key special events. Flo also volunteers for other nonprofit organizations including Meals on Wheels.
