Our Mission Comes to Life Through Our Athletes

Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) strives to ensure no one sits on the sidelines. Our mission is to empower and support youth, adults and injured military who have a physical or visual disability through inclusive adaptive sports programs.

Fueled by Purpose and Sustained by Passion Since 1999

“I saw there was a need. An entire population was not being served with physical activity and health promotion programs. They were sidelined. What began with just a few, has now grown to serve and support an entire community. Everyone who is part of GLASA feels the profound impact of our mission that goes both ways.”

Cindy Housner, Founder & Executive Director

Member of Move United National Competitions Committee. Recipient of Awards and Designations from U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, Women’s Sports Foundation & Many Fellow Nonprofits.
